A Path Forged Through
Experience & Resilience
Dirk Lambert’s path to becoming one of the leading figures in alternative mental health care was shaped by his own journey through adversity, service, and transformation.
Early Adversity & Transformation
Dirk’s early years were marked by abuse, suffering, and depression, which subsequently led to substance abuse and addiction. Rather than allow these experiences to define him, he ultimately used them as the foundation for a life devoted to helping others.
He pulled himself from this downward spiral and joined the military in Marche Les Dammes, Belgium, where he completed Para Commando Training - becoming a non-commissioned officer (NCO) with the 1st Cavalry Belgium Army as a drill instructor and tank commander on CVRT, stationed at the East German border.
Business Success & Inner Emptiness
Dirk went on to qualify as an IBM and AT&T systems engineer, excelling in information technology businesses he created in Singapore, Vietnam, and Thailand.
Despite achieving considerable success, money, and recognition, he found himself feeling empty and dissatisfied. It was only when he began volunteering as a PTSD counsellor for US war veterans returning to Vietnam - accompanying them on journeys to heal their emotional scars - that he found his true calling.
Founding Thailand’s First Recovery Centre
In 2000, Dirk launched Thailand’s first alternative rehabilitation and recovery centre, which expanded to three locations over the following fifteen years, helping countless clients while he continued to study and develop his expertise.
In 2005, he became certified as a Live Blood Analysis Technician and Practitioner by Metagenics Australia, deepening his commitment to whole-person, integrative wellness.
Ordained as a Buddhist Monk
In 2015, and again in 2018, Dirk was ordained as a Buddhist monk and worked as a senior counsellor and advisor for the world-renowned Wat Tham Krabok drug rehabilitation centre in Thailand.
In 2008, he launched New Paradigm, which is also an official treatment centre for sexual abuse victims per the Victims of Crime Assistance Tribunal in Melbourne, Australia - a testament to the trust placed in his expertise and integrity.
